For families caring from afar

One calm screen for the people you love.

Idyll turns a tablet into a simple, beautiful home screen for your parent — a warm companion who checks in every day, video calls from the people you choose that answer themselves, today's plan, and fresh family photos. You set it up and run it all from your phone.

Their side

Made for hands that didn't grow up on touchscreens

No settings. No passwords. No tiny buttons. Just one warm screen that stays put — with the people and moments that matter a tap, or a spoken word, away.

Calls that answer themselves

Video calls from the people you choose can answer themselves — no green button to hunt for, no missed connections. Only the people you approve can ever get through.

Today, at a glance

Meals, medications, appointments and visits — the day's plan advances by itself, gently marking what's happening now and what's next. The tablet gently speaks up — “in 30 minutes…” and then “it's time…” — so nothing slips by.

Photos that appear like magic

Send a photo from your phone and it's on their screen — a new grandchild, the family barbecue, a small note that says you're thinking of them.

Books, music & gentle games

Books to read in big, comfortable type, audiobooks that hold their place, music the family picks, and games with no timers, no losing, and no "Game Over".

A companion who checks in every day

You give Idyll a name and a voice, and it becomes a familiar presence — starting a warm conversation each day, remembering the topics your parent loves, and gently steering around the ones they'd rather skip. It answers questions out loud too: the weather, the day, "when is Sarah calling?" — always in plain, patient language.

Idyll always says it's an assistant, never gives medical or money advice, and if it hears real distress it urges your parent to reach you or call 911.

Help, always in reach

One unmistakable red button reaches your family in a moment. It's the only red thing on the screen — impossible to confuse, always in the same place. Tapping it rings the family you've chosen like a live video call, so someone can see and talk to your parent right away. It's not a medical-alert service — Idyll is honest that it can't dial 911 for them.

Your side

You run everything from your phone

The Idyll Caregiver app is mission control. Set up their tablet without a visit, read Idyll's gentle check-in summaries, and keep their screen fresh — from anywhere.

Remote setup in minutes

Their tablet shows a 4-digit code; you type it on your phone. That's the whole pairing.

"Is Mom okay?" — answered

Idyll talks with your parent through the day and leaves you a short note — how they seemed, a highlight or two, and anything worth knowing. A reassuring glance, without hovering. You're only interrupted if something sounds truly off.

You choose who can call

Approve the family and friends who appear on their screen. Nobody else gets through — no spam, ever.

Reminders they'll actually see

Medication, meals, appointments — set them once; their tablet surfaces them at the right moment.

Photos, books & music you curate

Push new photos, add books to read or listen to, pick their stations — their screen stays alive without them lifting a finger.

A gentle watch for hard days

If a conversation ever sounds low or distressed, Idyll quietly lets your family know — no false alarms, no noise.

Questions

Answers for the practical child

Do we need to buy new hardware?+

No. Idyll runs on the tablet your parent already owns — an iPad works beautifully on a simple stand. Android tablet support is on the way.

Is this a camera watching my parent?+

No. Idyll is built on dignity, not surveillance. It listens only to have a conversation and writes you a short note about how the day went — not a recording or a transcript. The camera is used only during video calls, the camera and microphone status is always shown on screen, and calls are never recorded.

What if my parent can't use technology at all?+

That's exactly who Idyll is for. There is nothing for them to manage — no settings, no passwords, no updates. Calls answer themselves, and everything else is one large tap or a spoken question away.

Can my siblings help too?+

Yes. Multiple family members can join as caregivers — everyone can call, send photos and notes, and see that Mom or Dad is doing fine.

How do books and music get on the tablet?+

You add them from your phone. Books to read go on as EPUB files and appear on the tablet in big, comfortable type; audiobooks and music go on as any audio file you own — most formats work, we convert them automatically. Everything holds its place between sittings, and your uploaded songs become a "From your family" station alongside the built-in ones. Copy-protected files (Kindle, Audible, library-app loans) can't be added — DRM-free files only.

What happens when they press Help?+

The family is alerted immediately, so a real person — you — responds. Idyll is not a medical-alert service and doesn't replace emergency services, but it makes "I need someone" one unmissable button.
